Hi, I’m Emily!

Hi, I'm Emily Paule, a multidisciplinary graphic designer and photographer based in Chicago, IL. Art has been a lifelong passion of mine. Because my dad is a photographer, I grew up surrounded by cameras, editing software, and a natural curiosity for visual storytelling. I started exploring tools like Adobe Photoshop when I was just ten years old, and that early exposure laid the foundation for a deep-seated love of design and an unwavering drive to keep learning and experimenting. I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Digital Storytelling. Today, my creative journey centers around the intersection of visual communication and narrative. I believe that design isn't just a way to make things look good—it is a powerful tool to tell meaningful, engaging stories.

Through my diverse projects, I have developed a strong foundation in branding, typography, layout design, and user-centered thinking. My background in digital storytelling has deeply enriched my work, allowing me to integrate video, animation, sound, and interactive media to create immersive, multi-platform experiences. I am especially interested in projects that allow me to blend creative imagination with strategic execution. Throughout my career—including my time crafting high-impact apparel and comprehensive brand identities for a prominent St. Louis fashion agency—I have tackled everything from bespoke stationery and packaging design to digital campaigns and sketching custom tattoo concepts. Whether I am building narrative elements into a multimedia project or designing content for social media, I am passionate about connecting with audiences in intentional and impactful ways.

Complementing my design work is my extensive, hands-on photography experience. Building on my childhood roots, I have managed fast-paced event production, shot youth sports, and specialized in discreetly capturing the dynamic energy and key networking moments of high-level corporate business parties. Over the years, my work has been featured in multiple galleries and art shows, receiving recognition from both the design community and general audiences alike. As a designer and visual storyteller, I am always looking to expand my skill set and push the boundaries of my work through new techniques, emerging technologies, and collaborative opportunities. I approach every single project with a commitment to crafting unforgettable visual identities that truly resonate with people.
