About me! *

Hi, i’m Emily!

I graduated this past May from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Digital Storytelling.

My academic and creative journey has centered around the intersection of visual communication and narrative—using design not just as a way to make things look good but as a tool to tell meaningful, engaging stories.

Through my coursework and personal projects, I’ve developed a strong foundation in branding, typography, layout design, and user-centered thinking. My minor in Digital Storytelling has deepened my ability to integrate video, animation, sound, and interactive media into my work, allowing me to create immersive multimedia experiences that resonate across platforms. Whether it’s crafting a visual identity for a brand, designing content for social media, or building narrative elements into games or film, I’m passionate about using design to connect with audiences in intentional and impactful ways.

Art has been a lifelong passion of mine. My dad is a photographer, so I grew up around cameras, editing software, and a natural curiosity for visual storytelling. I started exploring tools like Adobe Photoshop when I was ten, and that early exposure laid the foundation for not only a love of design but a drive to keep learning, experimenting, and expressing ideas visually.

I’m especially interested in projects that allow me to blend creativity with strategy—from packaging and merchandise to posters, digital campaigns, and beyond. My work has been featured in multiple galleries and art shows over the years, where it’s received recognition from both the design community and general audiences alike. As a designer, I’m always looking to expand my skill set and push the boundaries of my work—whether through new techniques, technologies, or collaborative opportunities. I approach each project with a commitment to telling compelling visual stories that connect with people.
