In celebration of the Route 66 Centennial, I had the privilege of designing an exclusive merchandise line for the Missouri History Museum's "Sold on St. Louis" brand. This project required balancing the nostalgic, Americana aesthetic of the Mother Road with a modern, commercial sensibility suitable for museum-goers and tourists alike.
The collection includes a diverse range of deliverables, including apparel (T-shirts and scarves) and functional keepsakes (mugs and magnets). My design process focused on honoring St. Louis's pivotal role as a historic crossroads, utilizing typography and graphic elements that evoke the mid-century roadside culture while maintaining the high-quality, professional standards of the museum's retail presence.
